Minutes for May 20, 2010
Stonelick Township
Skeets Humphries, Stonelick Twp. Trustee, invited Archie Wilson to have the invocation.
After dinner, Skeets Humphries introduced the Fire Chief from Miami Twp., Chief Whitworth. He led a panel discussion of the challenges facing the Fire Departments county wide. The challenges fell in three categories: budget, revenue and unfunded mandates.
After the discussion, Lee Cornett, President of CCTA, had a short meeting with the membership. He presented donations for the 2010 year:
Clermont County Fair Board $3,000.00
Down Syndrome Assoc. $1,000.00
Veteran’s Memorial Plaza $1,000.00
Muñoz Foundation $750.00
Neediest Kids of All, Clermont County $500.00
Ronald McDonald House $500.00
YWCA House of Peace $500.00
Homeless Shelter $500.00
US Grant Scholarship $500.00
Boy’s and Girl’s Club $500.00
Humane Society $ 250.00
Motion made by Jack Kuntz; second by Matt Beamer to accept the recommendations as presented. Motion carried.
Posters and banners promoting seat belt safety were presented.
Beggar’s Night was set for Sat. night, Ocober 30, 6-8 PM
Frank Renn announced that the June mtg. would be at Ohio Township on June 17th.
Frank Renn, also, set a meeting with Pat Manger to discuss access roads policy.
Door prizes were two personal size fire extinguishers won by Dan Owens and Paul Ritchey.
