Clermont County Township Association
Thursday, March 20, 2008
at Engineer’s Office
Clermont County Health District was the host.

Minutes approved as presented. Motion by Frank Wilson; 2nd by Rick Hinson.
Ed Humphrey committee reports in writing.
Bari Henning reported that annual review of 911 calls showed that 2/3 came from county; 1/3 from Union Twp.
George Brown reported on joint project of Senior Services and AARP to study impact of Baby Boomers.
There was a discussion of concerns and solutions for the association to be more active . State and Federal items should be lobbied for directly and through OTA. County and other local items could be lobbied individually and as a group. Motion by Frank Wilson, seconded by Kraig Rigdon to have the May meeting and one more meeting to use a roundtable discussion format for township issues. Motion carried.
Joyce Richardson asked for a letter to be sent to support pay of trustees to be paid for out of other areas of the township budget not just general funds and to be done so without having to keep documentation. Dennis Elchlinger reported on grant available through county for high intensity signs. He will work on this. He also talked about townships setting speed limits. Richardson addressed the fact that for townships to do that they would need more financial help to enforce regulations. The constituency would expect speed limits to be enforced.
Jim Danbury said that according to the constitution he could not nominate a replacement. Frank Wilson made to motion to replace Danbury on the LEPC and REPC with Guy Bainum; second by Bari Henning. Motion carried.
