Pledge of Allegiance

Invocation by Lee Cornett

Officers:  Present were   Tom Dix and Joyce Richardson

Active numbers are listed first; honoraries are second.

Townships:

* Tom Dix  began the meeting with a thank you to Batavia Township for hosting the meeting.  Tom reported that Ed was home after having a ski accident.  He was  hurt but was recuperating. 

*Beth Nevel  _ written report for Clermont County Communication Center

*Health Commissioner – Health Dept. will host March meeting.

*The treasurer reported a balance of $9700.53.

*Bob Proud announced commissioners would be doing town meetings this year.

*Joe Uecker reported on current/proposed legislation.

*Frank Renn from Ohio Township was recognized as new trustee.

*Tim Hershener from Planning Commission reported that all townships had been visited and that a county plan had been drafted but not adopted.

*Debbie Clepper introduced Batavia deputy sheriffs.

*Tom Dix announced that spring banquet meetings would begin second Sat. in Feb. at Batavia Township Hall at 9AM.  Tom also gave best wishes from Virgil Pollard and said Virgil had a wonderful attitude.  Virgil’s phone number is 553 6340 and would enjoy calls and visits.

*Feb. meeting will be at Pierce. 

*2008 meeting locations:

Feb.- Pierce;  March – Health Dept.;  April – Banquet;  May – Franklin;  June – Ohio;

July – No meeting;  August – Union;  September – Engineer;  October –Sheriff;

November – Williamsburg;;  December – Christmas Banquet

Frank Wilson reported on charitable donations:  Ronald McDonald House $500.00;  Boys and Girls Club $250.00;  Clermont Cty. Neediest Kids of All $1000.00;  Clermont Community Services Homeless Shelter $1000.00;Ohio Twp. Assoc. $100.00.

Kermit Beckworth moved to donate $250.00 to National Multiple Sclerosis; second by Dennis Echlinger.  Craig Rigdon moved to approve the other donations; 2^nd by Gregg Conrad.  Both motions carried.
