Meeting Minutes

Clermont County Sheriff-Host
Thursday October 18, 2007
The meeting was called to order by President Ed Humphrey, with the Pledge of Allegiance by all.
Roll call of Officers: Ed Humphrey, President; Tom Dix, Vice President; and T.J. Corcoran, Executive were present. Joyce Richardson, Secretary/Treasure was absent.
President requested a volunteer for scribing of minutes. Beth Nevel volunteered.

President Humphrey thanked Clermont County Sheriff Rodenberg for hosting the meeting, dinner and tour of equipment that had been on display in the parking area.
Three guest speakers were introduced:
Rob Alfieri with the Clermont County Engineers Office spoke of work in the Engineers Office reference snow routes.
Marty Lambert, Clermont County Health Commissioner, spoke on Public Education efforts for Pandemic Flu with books handed out to all Township representatives for distribution to the citizens. .
Cindy Jenkins with Clermont 20/20 spoke about Salute to Leaders and the need for nominations. Event is at Holiday Inn at Eastgate on March 13, 2008.
Sheriff Rodenberg spoke about HB 108 to support the Drug Unit. A Grant has been awarded for $450,000.00, only one of four Counties in the State of Ohio.
A motion was made to pass a resolution in support of the Sheriff. A sample resolution will be posted on the Association Website for consideration.
Treasurer’s Report: None
Secretary Report: A motion to approve the minutes was made by Mike Keeley of Goshen, with Frank Wilson of Tate making the second to the motion. Motion passed to approve the minutes of the last meeting.
President Ed Humphrey appointed the Nominating Committee: Frank Wilson, T.J. Corcoran and Bari Henning to report at the November meeting when we will elect officers.
Committee Reports:
Clermont County Communications Advisory, Local Emergency Planning, Regional Emergency Planning, Terrorism Advisory, Southern Ohio Southern Indiana Northern Kentucky (SOSINK), Citizen Corp. Council, Community Housing Improvement Strategy Housing Advisory, Access Clermont, CLOUT, OPWC District 10 Integrating and Health District Advisory Board committee reports were presented in writing by Ed Humphrey.
E9-1-1 Cellular Fee: Reported by Bari Henning that this will sunset in December 2008, with next meeting for Clermont County to be in January 2008.
OKI Integrating Committee: Reported by Tom Dix that work continues on the Brent Spence Bridge and Eastern Corridor projects.
Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission: No report
Old Business:
Howard Daugherty reported that on November 9, 2007, a rededication of the Veterans Office would be at 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, on the third floor. All are encouraged to attend.
The next meeting will be held at the Williamsburg Fire Station on November 15, 2007 at 6:30 PM. Address is 915 West Main Street, Williamsburg, Ohio
The Christmas Party will be Thursday, December 20, 2007, Heritage Hall, 1705 State Route 28, Goshen, Ohio with Social hour at 6:30 PM and Dinner at 7:00 PM.
With no other business at hand, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
