Clermont County Township Association

Regular Meeting January 19, 2006

Meeting called to order at 19:06 by President, Ed Humphrey.  Meeting at Batavia Township Hall, was opened by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.  Roll of those present as follows:

Batavia 3-2, Ohio 3, Tate 3, Franklin 1, Jackson 2, Goshen 1-1, Washington 2-2, Monroe 1, Stonelick 2, Wayne 3-1, Williamsburg 4-1, Miami 1, Pierce 2.

No Prior Meeting Minutes/Treasurer’s Report due to Joyce Richardson’s absence. 

Committee Reports:

Terrorism Advisory Team: met today at Loveland .  Working on coordinating of 911 dispatch centers’ computers, telephone and radio systems.

911 Committee Report: none

Storm Water Committee:  Debbie Clepper attended meeting today to review and put together another committee to gather information.  No rate per unit set yet.  Next Meeting set for February 16, 2006 .

OKI Committee:  Tom Dix.  No Report

George Brown from Clermont Senior Services spoke on behalf of their levy scheduled for vote on May 2, 2006 .  Debbie Clepper made motion to have the Township Association support the levy, seconded by Frank Wilson.  Motion  carried.

Paul Brausch, Solid Waste Director for Adams and Clermont Counties .  Revising Solid Waste Plan.  Townships have to approve the plan.  State requires a decrease in solid waste going into land fills.  Open at this time for public comment.

Banquet:  Greg Conrad still trying to find a location for banquet.  February 11, 2006 ,  first meeting date for setting goals for the year for the Association.  Will take place at Batavia Township Hall at 9AM .

Salute To Leaders:  to be held February 23, 2006 at Holiday Inn Eastgate.  Last year Association donated towards this event.  We are to ask Joyce Richardson at the next meeting.

Donations for the year were briefly discussed.  To be put on agenda for next meeting on February 16^th. 

Ed Humphrey needs all names and addresses of Fiscal Officers and Trustees (especially new ones) for posting on the website. 

Beth Nevel needs copy from each Township of Resolution adopting Bari Henning as Township Representative to the 911 Planning Committee.

All Townships asked to budget to attend National Association of Towns and Townships conference. 

Ed Humphrey is running for OTA Board at Winter Conference. 

Representative Joe Uecker passed out paperwork in HB 385 and it’s particulars.

Next Meeting:  Pierce Township , February 16, 2006 at 6:30 PM .
